Book Covers

Every once in a while I head over to the web site Good Show Sir to see some of the worst book covers in science fiction and fantasy. It usually happens after I peruse the used book section at one of the only English bookstores in South Korea. As I look through the used book section, I see books that appear to have been there since the beginning of time.

Over at SFFworld there is a thread of great book covers in which you are only allowed to post or discuss book covers that you like or find impressive. With all of the books published which are some of your favorite covers? Which covers do you find cringe-worthy? Does a book cover turn you off from a purchase or will you read a book simply based on the artwork?
